Countryside Officer
As Countryside Officer, Steve works to protect and enhance the beauty of the countryside
for the benefit of the public. His role is to:
- Act as the Group’s point of contact with the Ramblers’ on countryside matters.
- Keep eyes and ears open for local significant developments that could have an
impact on the countryside and on walkers, such as road schemes, housing development,
quarrying, out of town developments and landfill sites.
- Inform the committee and the Group’s members about local countryside work.
